Future proofing: autonomous technology and the motor industry
Our Chief Scientist, Adrian Bedford, was just recently quoted in the Telegraph, speaking about the future of autonomous technology and practical social impacts that we need to plan for with autonomous vehicles, both for individuals and businesses that rely on their vehicles.
“Autonomous tech may enable car sharing to such an extent that it no longer becomes necessary for people to own a car. This will change the world,” he says. “For instance, one car could shuttle 10 people to and from work in a day rather than each person driving themselves, which will mean fewer cars on the road and no need for parking spaces.
