Introducing Xenos

At StreetDrone we’re helping move the world of autonomy forward, faster, by providing automotive manufacturers with ways to safely connect their vehicles to the autonomous services of the future.

Xenos is our technology platform, integrating vehicle data and systems with autonomous applications, like AI based self-driving or coordination functions. In fact, Xenos provides much more functionality than this, including the interoperability to change vehicles and software seamlessly.

In some ways we’re like Android for the autonomous world. We’ve built all of our technology in a Renault Twizy, the first vehicle on our platform. This is a proof of concept car for Xenos specifically designed for research and development and to put new autonomous concepts on the road.

The Detail

Xenos in-vehicle offers a combination of software and hardware which allows different vehicle controllers to communicate with autonomous applications, such as AI or functional safety.

- Hardware: ruggedized real time computer units
- Data Type: safety critical, deterministic
- Applications: drive-by-wire, functional safety, AI self-driving stack, vehicle dynamics
- Security: controlled access, encryption, data loss prevention, advanced analytics
- Interfaces: to OEM vehicle via header file, interface to applications via open source API

Xenos on-demand provides a secure, semi-structured database within the cloud which allows autonomous vehicles to communicate with cloud-based solutions, or provides non-real time connectivity to the AI systems

- Data Type: real and non-real time
- Applications: fleet management, telematics, optimisation, data aggregation, remote mission control, targeted advertisement
- Security: IoT features data loss prevention, advanced analytics
